Sushant Singh Rajput, who is playing the role of MS Dhoni in a biopic, has impressed the cricketer's father with his hard work. Dhoni's father Pan Singh believes Sushant is the right choice for the biopic, being directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Sushant recently met Dhoni's father during a visit to Ranchi. The actor, along with Pan Singh, talked about Dhoni and his life. While interacting with Dhoni's father, Sushant showed him several videos he recorded as part of his research to prepare for his role. The videos impressed Pan Singh, who later said Sushant is perfect to portray the character of Dhoni on the silver screen.
"It gives me a different high when I hear this from people. It is a big responsibility for me, and if people around Dhoni feel like that, it is the biggest compliment I can receive," Sushant said in a statement.
Sushant has been in touch with the cricketer and his family ever since the biopic went on the floors. Earlier, the actor was spotted with Dhoni on the film sets. He even spent some time with Dhoni, his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni and daughter Ziva.
"MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" is a biopic based on the life of Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. The film features Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni and Anupam Kher as Pan Singh. The film also features Disha Patani, and "Tere Naam" actress Bhoomika Chawla is reportedly making a comeback with this film.
"MS Dhoni - The Untold Story," directed by Neeraj Pandey, will hit the screens worldwide Sep. 2.
