Here is some exciting news for Suriya fans!

The much-awaited teaser of "Anjaan" is all set to be released on 5 July. The news has been confirmed by film's director Lingusamy.

It is to be noted that the teaser will be releasing on the same day as "Singam 2" hit theatres last year.

Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the teaser of "Anjaan," which was expected to be out earlier this month but got delayed. The first look posters with stylish Suriya and gorgeous Samantha, have already received fantastic response from fans and generated huge expectations among them. It remains to be seen if the teaser will appeal to the audience.

"Anjaan" is one of the most-anticipated films of 2014 as it stars Suriya in the lead role. The actor has teamed up with director Lingusamy for the first time to do a film, which is touted to be an action packed entertainer. The actor is reportedly doing a dual role in the film and one of the characters will be that of a gangster named Raju bhai.

Samantha, Soori, Vidyut Jamwal, Manoj Bajpai, Rajpal Yadav and Dalip Tahil are also part of the film's cast. The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Santhosh Sivan has handled the cinematography. The big budget entertainer has been produced by Thirrupathi Brothers and UTV Motion Pictures.

The shooting of "Anjaan" is wrapped up and post production has begun in full swing. The film's audio launch is expected to happen in mid July.

The Suriya starrer is gearing up to hit the screens on 15 August for the Independence Day weekend. The Telugu version of the film is also expected to have a simultaneous release with "Anjaan."

Both the versions might not enjoy a solo release as there are couple of other films that are expected to lock horns with the action entertainer. The Tamil version might have to clash with Simbu's much-delayed "Vaalu", while the Telugu version is expected to battle it out with Jr NTR's "Rabhasa."

"Anjaan" will be Suriya's first release of 2014 and it will be hitting screens more than a year after his fast paced action film "Singam 2" made it to theatres. The actor will be teaming up with director Venkat Prabhu for his next project, deemed as a fiction fantasy film. It is expected to go on floors soon.
