Sunny Leone, who seems to be director's muse, is overloaded with work commitments at the moment.

After Milap Zaveri's "Mastizaade" and Devang Dholakia's "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" alongside Ram Kapoor, there are reports that the adult star-turned-actress might be roped in for photographer Jayesh Sheth's directorial on the 90s bombshell, Mamta Kulkarni.

"Sunny came to my mind as she bears great resemblance to Mamta — a sensuous body with an innocent face. But now it's too early to say anything, at least till the time I finish writing the script. I have some other names in mind, but Sunny comes closest to Mamta," Mid Day quoted Sheth as saying.

While some believe that the two are in talks and the film will roll early next year, Leone has denied reports saying, "Sorry, I have not heard anything about this."

This news comes weeks after Kulkarni's shocking arrest news poured in. The actress, along with her husband, Vijay 'Vicky' Goswami, was taken into custody by the Kenyan police on charges of drug trafficking.

Sheth, who claims that his film is inspired by her life and not a biopic, said the stunner always came across as ambitious to him. "I knew Mamta from day one. She was so new to the industry and she used to come with her mother and sister for shoots. She was from that typical Maharashtrian family. Her life has inspired me a lot as she was very innocent, ambitious, and wanted to take short cuts," IANS quoted the photographer saying.

Interestingly, the topless photoshoot Kulkarni had done for a glossy magazine, for which she gained immense popularity, was shot by none other than Sheth himself. The photospread did get her fame, but heavy criticism followed too. She was slapped with charges of violating the country's obscenity laws.

Born on 20 April 1972, Kulkarni was known for her roles in "Karan Arjun", "Baazi" and "Waqt Humara Hai".
