Actor Sunny Deol's son Karan, better known as Rocky, is making his first step into the Bollywood industry with the upcoming sequel of "Yamla Pagla Dewana".

Instead of acting alongside Bobby Deol, Dharmendra and his father, 21-year-old Karan donned the assistant director cap and will be assisting filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan on the sets. He is also been given the responsibility of writing continuity shots of the film.

"Rocky has been interested in direction since long. And before getting into it, he had a long discussion with dad Sunny," sources told The Times of India.

His entry into the film industry has set expectations within the Deol family, and is expected to be assisting them in upcoming projects with regular guidance from his grandfather Dharmendra.

The shooting of the "Yamla Pagla Dewana" sequel was said to have begun last week in the UK. Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra were last seen together in 2007 film "Apne".

Expectations of the much-awaited sequel are riding high after last year's "Yamla Pagla Deewana" elicited good response at the box office. Apart from the three Deols, "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2" will also cast Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Sucheta Khanna, koimoi.com said.
