Salman Khan and Iulia Vantur's marriage rumours have been on ever since they were spotted attending Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough's reception bash earlier this month. However, the superstar didn't take it too well.
When asked if there's any truth to the speculations around his wedding date, the "Sultan" actor told Hindustan Times he would have communicated the news to his fans on Twitter or Facebook and not wait for it to be leaked by a publication or TV channel.
There's been a lot of noise of Salman and Iulia's joint appearance at the Preity-Gene's party, but the actor said it doesn't indicate they are an item.
"Yes, we did go to that party, but am I not allowed to go anywhere with anybody? So, if I am seen outside with any woman, will I be married off to her? One has to understand one's responsibility towards a woman," he elaborated and added that the media has stripped Iulia of her respect.
Salman said that the press has dishonoured Iulia. He pointed out that the media gives hope to a woman and that puts pressure on him. "And this is not good; I also look like an insensitive person, who is not interested in getting married," he added.
In other news, Salman's "Sultan" trailer is out and it's looking promising. The three-minute long clip has already garnered over 1.5 million hits on YouTube and gone viral in less than a day's time. To open in theatres this Eid, the sports-drama film features Anushka Sharma, Amit Sadh and Randeep Hooda in key roles.
