In the next cover, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson portrayed the three main antagonists of the film-- First Order's stormtrooper Captain Phasma, Supreme Leader Snoke's loyal servant Kylo Ren and General Armitage Hux.

The third cover of Vanity Fair featured Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran as X-wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron, former stormtrooper Finn and Resistance maintenance worker Rose Tico. The fourth cover is entirely dedicated to late actress Carrie Fisher, who portrays General Leia Organa in The Last Jedi.

Meanwhile, cast member John Boyega has teased some new details about his character Finn and said he will have a vital role to play in the movie. "It's Finn and Rose, they're on a massive adventure. It's a big mission they need to complete," he told Entertainment Weekly.

The actor also hinted that his character may go undercover to fight against The First Order. "The Resistance is under immense pressure, and it's time for them to get a bit of help. That's where Finn and Rose come in, and they're thrust into a crazy adventure," he said.

Boyega said the former stormtrooper is in a situation where he needs some help, but he assured the character's recovery. "It's a grounding injury. It's going to take him some time to get back on the ball. But when he does... oh, he does," he revealed.
