With just three months left for the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" or the seventh instalment of epic space opera, fans are now looking forward to the next sequel.

The creative team of "Episode VIII" is yet to reveal many details about the film, including the cast members. However, Puerto Rican actor Benicio Del Toro, who will apparently portray a lead character the eighth instalment of "Star Wars", recently spilled out a few details about the movie.

While interacting with the presenter of a Spanish radio station called RAC 1, the actor shared few details on the next sequel. "Star Wars is coming up, we will see how that turns out. I think we start shooting in March," he said hinting that he could play the villain.

"Ehhh, the thing is, they don't let me talk too much about it. I'm like the villain. But we'll see," Slash Film quoted him as saying.

However, fans of "Star Wars" will have to wait for an official announcement either from Lucasfilm or Disney for any details about Toro's role in "Episode: VIII".

Meanwhile, "Jane The Virgin" fame Gina Rodriguez, "Bates Motel" actress Olivia Cooke and "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany are among the contenders for female lead in the next epic space opera film, according to The Wrap.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is scheduled to hit big screens in US on 26, May, 2017.
