The wait for the much-anticipated full-length trailer of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" could be over soon, as speculations suggest that the sneak peek video will be released on Monday, 19 October.

Fans have already been introduced to many of the characters through several teaser trailers and TV spots of the upcoming movie, but they are yet to officially meet the two iconic characters -- Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) -- from the epic space opera film series.

While most of the promotional clips focused on new characters and nostalgic scenes from the original trilogy, there is a buzz that the new sneak peek video could mainly feature a space battle between the First Order and Resistance.

But since the upcoming trailer is likely to be the last visual details the franchise is planning to unveil before the movie release, fans can also expect to watch all the major characters and a brief plot outline in the clip, according to Screenrant.

Although director JJ Abrams and team have not officially announced the release date for a full length trailer, the fansite -- starwars7news.com – suggested that the clip will be unveiled on Monday, 19 October, along with the advanced ticket booking.

Meanwhile, a follower of the epic space opera film series monikered as The Schmoes wrote on Twitter: "We're hearing Disney will drop the #StarWarsTheForceAwakens trailer officially on Monday the 19th with an announcement on Sunday the 18th!"

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit big screens of US on 18 December after its world premiere in Los Angeles on 14 December. The premiere might be attended by most of the cast members along with selected executives, agents and journalists, stated The Hollywood Reporter.
