Patna, Oct 07 (ANI): An enquiry committee conducted an open court hearing for the stampede victims in Patna on Tuesday in which 32 people were killed on the occasion of Dussehra on October 03.Most of the killed were women and a few children. Officials had said the stampede happened as people were leaving at the end of the event. Additional Director General of Police, Gupteshwar Pandey, who was present at the hearing, said they will take any decision only after they have heard the grievances of all the victims. Patna police had said some people reported that had they heard a rumour that a live electric wire had fallen on the public ground and it quickly spread through the crowd, prompting a rush for the gates. Home Secretary of Bihar, Amir Subhani, was also present to listen to people’s problems and recording their statements.
