Sony Xperia Z4 Official-Looking Images Leak Online; New Features, Release Date And More@Onleaks

So much has been talked and written on the release date of Sony's upcoming flagship smartphone dubbed as the Xperia Z4 but it is turning elusive for more reason than one. It was reported that much-awaited device would be unveiled at the CES 2015 and then at the Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC 2015) but that never happened.

Now speculations are on that its release date could be pushed to third quarter of 2015, by the time the Xperia Z3 completes one-year cycle in the market. The Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2015 to be held between 4 and 9 September, according to a report by PCAdvisor

There were reports that Sony would kill smartphones and concentrate on games but Sony executives had confirmed the existence of Xperia Z4.

"Z4 is the next-generation of product that we'll be announcing. No, we haven't [moved to a more traditional 12 month product cycle]. As a general rule you will see some adjustment to the way we phase our products, but we're certainly not going to offer any specific details as to when we are going to bring our next products, beyond these, at this stage," Tim Harrison, Sony's Vice President of Global Communications and PR, was quoted as saying by TrustedReviews.

It is reported that Sony's upcoming flagship smartphone will feature 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch screen and come with features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 20.7MP main camera and 4.8MP front snapper, 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM, 3420 mAh battery, and Qi Wireless Charging.

However, GSMArena reported that the device might have features like 5.2-inch with 1440 x 2560px Triluminos display, Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 20.7MP camera, and 3,400mAh battery. Tech Radar also reported that the device might sport a 4.7-inch screen with 720p to 1080p resolution and other features like IP68 water and dust proof certification, LTE Cat 9 connectivity, Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB internal memory and 3GB RAM, and house 20.7MP camera.

Nothing much is known on the price of the device but a report by PCAdvisor claimed that it could come with a price tag of around £599. The Xperia Z2 was priced £599 when it was launched but its successor, the Xperia Z3 was priced at £549 owing to the fact that there was no major change from its predecessor. However, the Xperia Z4 is expected to come with lots of feature upgrades over the Xperia Z3, and so it may come with a higher price tag.
