The India handset market, which is touted to be one of the world's fastest growing markets, houses more than 137 local and MNC smartphone manufactures vying for the formidable share in the lucrative low-cost device business.

Local players like Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles and others have an array of cheap Android smartphones in their portfolio. Consumers who are looking to purchase a mid-segment MNC branded Android Jelly Bean smartphone can take a look at the recently released Sony Xperia L and LG Optimus L7-2. Both devices boast feature-rich specs such as good cameras, display quality and other cool add-ons at affordable prices.

Here is a brief comparison of main features of Sony Xperia L and LG Optimus L7-2 [Spec-Wise]:

Display:

LG Optimus sports a WVGA IPS screen with 480x800 pixel resolution and close to 217 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density. On the other hand, Sony Xperia L features a similar 4.3-inch TFT LCD screen with slightly higher 480x854 pixel resolution and pixel density of 228 ppi.
