The snapshots of the upcoming high-end Sony smartphone Xperia i1 aka Honami showing a glimpse of the device's new camera UI has been leaked online.

UK based technology blog, Gadget Helpline has released a series of Sony Xperia i1 images featuring new camera tools such as superior Auto & manual options as well as time-shift burst mode and AR Effect feature which lets user to put Augmented Reality scenarios on to a picture.

Other striking camera effects include Sweep Panorama, Social Live (users can broadcast live video on social platform like Facebook) and Info-eye feature with an array of filters to enrich photography experience.

Among the snapshots, the website also got hold of a couple of pictures wherein the upcoming handset Xperia i1 is placed beside its predecessor, Xperia Z. According to reports, Sony Xperia i1 Honami is expected to flaunt a 5.0-inch full HD Triluminos display with X-Reality technology and run on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Under the hood, it is rumoured to pack a superfast 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded via microSD card.

The main attribute of Sony's upcoming device is its camera specifications. It reportedly features a 20.0-megapixel camera with Exmor RS image sensor technology, CMOS sensor, and also expected to boast company's exclusive G-lens and an image processor 'BIONZ' which are seen in high-end DSLR cameras. The smartphone will sport a 2.0-megapixel Exmor R camera on the front side.

The Japanese technology major is rumoured to showcase this camera-centric smartphone Xperia i1 aka Honami in September first week at the international technology trade fair, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2013 which is set to kick-off on 6 September. It is also reported that Samsung is launching it's flagship device Galaxy Note 3 at the same event.
