"Descendants of the Sun" stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, who played lovers in the Korean military drama, have been plagued by dating rumours ever since they acted together in the show. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry was one of the factors that led to the success of the show, and for months now, rumours have been rife that their romance has spilled off-screen as well.

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, popularly known as the Song-Song couple, have refrained from commenting about their alleged romance. But according to various publications, the duo's actions speak louder than words.

For instance, according to Inquisitr, the duo was allegedly spotted hanging out in New York, away from the prying glare of the South Korean media, this year so as to spend some quality time together. Also, Song Hye Kyo recently sent a coffee truck to Song Joong Ki and his "Battleship Island" crew and this thoughtful act of the actress has once again set tongues wagging. Rumours also indicate that the duo is secretly planning to tie the knot. However, there is no information on when or where the wedding will take place.

Both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are private people who do not like the media prying into their personal lives. When previously asked about his dating life, Song Joong Ki revealed that he prefers to date in secret so as to safeguard the privacy of the woman involved.

It is indeed a wise move, considering the fact that his ex girlfriend's pictures went viral shortly after "Descendants of the Sun" became a global phenomenon. "To be honest, I'm a little upset these days," he revealed to Asia One in an earlier interview when asked how the Korean military drama has changed his life. "My family has been exposed to the media. Some people break into our house. My ex-girlfriend's photos are circulating online. To say that these are things I need to endure for the sake of celebrity ... that's sad. I want to respectfully request that my private life remain private."
