Reports of Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha seeing each other rose to prominence, after the actress wished the former on his birthday on Tuesday.
"Happy Birthday @shahidkapoor!! Goa mein gandi baat aur party all night okkk have funnnns!!" Sonakshi wished her "R... Rajkumar' co-star on Twitter.
Soon after, speculations of the "Dabanng" actress seeing Shahid and attending the actor's birthday party started doing rounds.
A report by Daily Bhaskar stated that Sonakshi was set to be a special guest at Shahid's birthday party in Goa. The report claimed the actress would drop her shoot in Jaipur for a day, to attend the bash.
However, Sonakshi waved off the dating rumours on Twitter on Wednesday, and insisted she has not gone to Goa.

And then the actress followed it up with a photo, implying she is not bothered by the dating speculations.
Though Sonakshi may have laughed off the dating reports, it should be noted that the actress had initially refused to appear in "Koffee with Karan", sans the "Kaminey" actor. And it was only after the show's makers paired her with Shahid that she agreed to do it.
The camaraderie the two actors shared on the famed couch was there for everyone to see. At one point, host Karan Johar had to interfere to stop the actors from the non-stop banter, much to the delight of the viewers.
However, Shahid had stated on the episode that after being with Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, he is done dating actresses.
So whether Shahid and Sonakshi are just good friends or more will be known only in the days to come.
