Pilot Betrand Piccard of the experimental solar powered plane, Solar Impulse, has showed off his selfie skills whilst piloting the aircraft.

In a short video taken whilst flying from Dayton, Ohio to Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Piccard can be seen holding a selfie stick from the cockpit hundreds of miles up in the sky.

This is just a small leg of the Solar Impluses round-the-world tour that began in Abu Dhabi in March 2015.

Piccard is one of the pilots in charge of flying the clean energy aeroplane. The cockpit only fits one person at a time, so Piccard and fellow pilot Andre Borschberg have to take turns.

The Solar Impulse is expected back in the Middle East around July, after completing a transatlantic flight from New York.
