David Cameron and Jeremy Clarkson effigies are burned at the annual Lewes bonfire

The effigies of Prime Minister David Cameron and the former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, were among the many victims of the Lewes Bonfire and firework display on Thursday evening (5 November). The figures were paraded through the Lewes streets in the annual bonfire parade and then taken to be burned with others including Former Fifa boss Sepp Blatter. Nov 6, 2015

Brazil: Dozens feared dead after iron ore tailings dam collapses

An iron ore tailings dam owned by Vale SA and BHP Billiton burst on Thursday (5 November) in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, killing as many as 16 people, local media reported. Brazilian miner Samarco, said it had not determined why the dam burst or the extent of the disaster at its Germano mine near the town of Mariana. Nov 6, 2015
