Midnight curfew in Charlotte after three nights of rioting

The city of Charlotte, North Carolina, imposed a midnight curfew on 22 September 2016 after three nights of riots triggered by the police shooting of a black man. Keith Scott was shot dead by a black officer as police searched for a different man with an outstanding warrant. Police claim Scott was carrying a gun when he approached officers, something Scotts family deny. Sep 23, 2016

Boris Johnson says Brexit Article 50 could be triggered early 2017

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said Britain could invoke Article 50 to trigger Britains exit from the European Union as early as next year. Mr Johnson said Britain would be negotiating for greater free trade with partners across Europe and it was in their interests too. Sep 23, 2016
