Government deploys paramilitary to tackle Maoist threats in Odisha

Malkangiri, April 6 (ANI): With hours left for the general elections to kick off, government has beefed up security in India’s red corridor of Odisha to ensure peaceful polls and deployed paramilitary forces for round the clock combing operations to tackle Maoist threats. Threat looms large over the interior Maoist hit districts of the state like Malkangiri as the red rebels have inscribed threatening slogans on the school walls and other voting centres, trying to dissuade people from stepping out of their houses on the poll day. Army busts militant hideout in Kashmir

Doda, April 6 (ANI): On a tip of intelligence, Army and police in a joint operation busted a militant hideout in Kashmir ahead of general elections, informed a senior official. A huge cache of arms and explosives including six weapons and eight kg of RDX, communication equipments, logistic support items, literature related to terrorists and Pakistan currency notes were recovered from the well stocked hideout. BJP to use 3D projection for Narendra Modi rallies

New Delhi, April 6 (ANI): BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address more than 1,000 'Bharat Vijay' rallies in different states using the advance 3D hologram technology, to garner votes in parliament polls. Senior BJP leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, said party's PM candidate Narendra Modi would hold more than 1,000 rallies to reach out to people in the evening. Police arrest five red rebels in Maoist hotbed

Gumla, April 6 (ANI): Police in Jharkhand province have arrested five Maoists in red corridor of Gumla district, ahead of upcoming general elections. Police also informed that they arrested the rebels after destroying a rebel camp located in the hills.
