New Delhi, Oct 4 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi admitted that the words he used to describe the government's Ordinance on convicted lawmakers were probably inappropriate, but emphasized that his sentiments were right. He told the mediapersons that his mother and Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi had told him that the words he used were strong and therefore he regretted his words but stood by his sentiments. Rahul said this while on his two-day visit to Gujarat which started on Thursday. Rahul's 'nonsense' remark on September 27 over the Ordinance on convicted politicians brought a huge criticism from the opposition who said that Gandhi had not only insulted his own party but also the prime minister of the country. Chennai, Oct 04 (ANI): The French Loaf, a bakery wing of Oriental Cuisines Private Limited (OCPL) provided a visual treat to the Bakers and cake lovers in Chennai by displaying a 100 long metres cake which weighed 1000 kilograms. The images on the cake were based on the theme ‘Namma Chennai, Namma Pride’ (Our Chennai our Pride). A group of 26 chefs took exactly 285 hours to make the cake and in total, there were 100 people involved in the baking and assembling of the masterpiece. New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Paving the way for the biggest foreign investment in India's aviation sector, the union cabinet of India has approved a $330 million deal by Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways to buy a stake in Jet Airways, taking the companies one step closer to complete the long-delayed deal. India’s Aviation Minister Ajit Singh confirmed this in New Delhi and said that the deal would benefit passengers at large. Etihad had agreed in April to buy a 24 percent stake in Jet in the first such deal since the government relaxed rules in September 2012 to allow foreign airlines to own up to 49 percent of Indian carriers.
