Sangai festival, which is held annually, kicked off on November 21st at Hapta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound in northeastern city of Imphal. The attractions at the ten-day cultural festival are performances by cultural troupes from Thailand and Myanmar, an exhibition of hand loom and handicrafts, indigenous sports of Manipur and local cuisines of the state, and also aims to highlight state's cultural heritage and eco-adventure activities.
