An Iranian couple using the subway in New York were verbally harassed by a fellow passenger as they rode the C train from Penn Station uptown, on Saturday 25 March.Mahsa, who asked for her last name to be withheld, posted this footage, in which a man is heard hurling abuse at her and her partner.She wrote on Facebook: “We noticed him getting on the train at 42nd St because he was looking at us hatefully and grumbling something under his breath. A Boeing 737-300 jet operated by Peruvian Airlines went up in flames upon landing at Francisco Carle Airport near the Andean town of Jauja in central Peru on Tuesday (28 March) after it veered off course on the runway. All 141 people on board were evacuated safely before the fire spread to the fuselage. No serious injuries were reported. The right wing of the plane scrapped the runway, which may have triggered the fire, Interior Minister Carlos Basombrio said. The incident took place at about 4.30pm local time (9.30pm GMT). Spanish police seize £12m worth of cocaine hidden in fake bananas

Spain’s Civil Guard said, on 26 March, that it had seized a shipment of cocaine hidden in fake bananas. Some 7kg (15lb) of the drug was found in 57 fake resin bananas; a further 10kg were found hidden among real bananas.
