Residents bear brunt of anti- bifurcation protests in Andhra Pradesh

Vishakapatnam, Oct 8 (ANI): Residents in Andhra Pradesh, mainly in the five districts--Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East and West Godavari--coming under EPDCL are suffering as the announcement of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh evoked violent protests, forcing the authorities to clamp a curfew in the regions. Deepening the crisis, the electricity department employees struck work, plunging large parts of the region into darkness.
