BJP slams Rahul Gandhi, says no input on ISI connections with Muzaffarnagar victims

New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, of giving false information that Pakistan's ISI tried to recruit Muzaffarnagar riot victims. Citing central intelligence agency's report, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said that there was no information that Pakistan's ISI tried to recruit riot affected Muslim men. Jan Lokpal Bill by Delhi govt unconstitutional: Solicitor General

New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): Raising a red flag over the move by Delhi government to bypass the Centre on the Jan Lokpal Bill, Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran has said the Bill must be presented to the Lieutenant Governor before it is tabled in the state Assembly. Parasaran has said the Bill can become law in the National Capital Territory only after it receives the President's assent. Parasaran's opinion came in response to L-G Najeeb Jung's request for counsel on two counts: whether presenting the Bill in the Assembly without sending the legislative proposal to the Central government violates the constitution; and whether the Delhi government has the power to legislate on matters concerning the Delhi Police and the Delhi Development Authority. Security forces to take tough action against anti-talk faction of NDFB (S) in Assam

Assam, Feb 07 (ANI): Two people, including a senior police officer and an informer, were killed and four others injured on January 28 after a police team was ambushed by cadres of NDFB (S) in Sonitpur district of Assam. The militants fired upon a police team that was returning to the local police station. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gulzar Hussain was killed in the ambush and four constables suffered bullet injuries. The injured were taken to the Tezpur Civil Hospital.
