Party workers celebrated the occasion at the party office in New Delhi by bursting fire crackers and shouting slogans in praise of Modi. Meanwhile, the ruling Congress urged the petitioner, Zakia Jafri to take recourse to judicial remedies. At least five killed and several injured in Jalpaiguri blast

Jalpaiguri, Dec 27 (ANI): At least five people were killed and several others injured when a bomb tied to a bicycle exploded in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. Superintendent of police, Amit P Jawalgi said that he was expecting such an incident because Martyrs Day was being celebrated in the region. Jawalgi confirmed that nine people were injured in the blast on Thursday. The blast occurred at around 7 pm in Bajrapara area and the injured were admitted to the Jalpaiguri District Hospital.
