Budget Session: Arun Jaitley blames UPA for poor state of railways

New Delhi, July 07 (ANI): Blaming the UPA government for the price rise, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Rajya Sabha on Monday said that the previous government has soiled the seeds of inflation which the NDA government is carrying upon them. He said that the poor state of railways is the result of the previous government and the rise in passenger and freight fare was decided in their tenure to implement as soon as the NDA government takes over. Issues related to pollution of the Ganges were addressed and discussion findings were shared with the committee of secretaries that has been working on a plan on the development of the river. Minister of Water Resources, Uma Bharti, said that the people involved in the Ganges cleaning project, irrespective of their departments, were all united on seeing the holy river in a pristine state once again.
