New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Friday filed a petition with the Election Commission regarding Narendra Modi’s nomination affidavit from Vadodara in which he stated himself as married. Sibal said that Modi has committed a crime by giving false information to the country in his previous election affidavits and thus is liable under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Sibal also stated that Election Commission has assured him of carrying out necessary examination.Apr 11, 2014

New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): The Election Commission on Friday directed the West Bengal Director General of Police to immediately arrest all persons named in an FIR for beating up poll personnel in the state and send the compliance report by evening. Apart from those named in the FIR, the EC has also ordered the arrest of the organiser of the motor bike rally during which the incident occurred. The attack reportedly occurred when the officials tried to stop a two-wheeler rally of the TMC as such rallies have been banned by the poll panel.
