Jitan Ram Manjhi takes oath as Bihar Chief Minister

Patna, May 20 (ANI): Jitan Ram Manjhi, a close confidant of Nitish Kumar, who was handpicked by the outgoing Bihar chief minister to be his successor, took oath on Tuesday. A Nitish loyalist, sixty-year-old Manjhi, is known to be a soft-spoken politician who comes from a Mahadalit community. Manjhi was the SC/ST welfare minister in Nitish's cabinet.
