SC says review petitions by death row convicts may be heard in open courts

New Delhi, Sep 02 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday held that in the cases where the death sentence has been upheld by the apex court, the death convict may file a review petition in open court and will be accorded hearing by a Bench of three judges. Encounter breaks out between Security forces and militants in Pulwama of JandK

Pulwama, Sep 02 (ANI): An encounter broke out between Indian security force and militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The security force had launched a massive operation in the area to nab three militants reportedly hiding in a village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Monday night. The militants hiding in the village area opened fire at soldiers, leading to gunbattle. Militants have been frequently attacking security bases in Kashmir since the 1990s, when there was a full-blown insurgency against Indian rule in a region over which India and Pakistan fought two of their three wars. Pak crisis: PM Nawaz Sharif to address joint session of Parliament today

RSS worker killed in Kerala's Kannur, state wide bandh cripples normal life
