Dhaka, July 22 (ANI): The people_s resurgence platform of Bangladesh, Ganajagoran Mancha, organized a cartoon show on Monday to protest against the country_s Islamist party, Jamaat-e-Islami and war criminals accused of genocide during the 1971 liberation struggle. The organizers of the show also demanded death penalty for all the war criminals. One of the organizers of the cartoon show, Al-Noman, slammed Jamaat-e-Islami for supporting the war criminals. Ludhiana, July 22 (ANI): People in Punjab planted 1.25 lakh trees in an attempt to provide green lungs to Ludhiana city and also to achieve a new world record. According to a report by World Health Organisation (WHO), Ludhiana was among the top ten polluted cities in the world. In a bid to make Ludhiana a green city, a non-governmental organisation, ___Sambhav___, a youth leadership training organisation, urged people to plant trees. One of the participants, Davinder Singh Pal, claimed to have broken the world record.
