New Delhi/ Noida/Lucknow/ Mumbai/ Nagpur, May 15 (ANI): Political leaders react as BJP grapples with positions for the party’s senior leaders. Congress leader Rashid Alvi and JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that the BJP should have waited for some more time. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agrawal said that this should be clear to the people how these people are who have started fighting even before the results are out. Meanwhile, AAP leader Ashutosh said that any senior leader should take retirement after a certain period of time. Politicos react on US refusal of automatic visa to Modi as PM

Anti-corruption squad raids police official's residence in Bhopal

Bhopal, May 15 (ANI): A team of anti-corruption officials raided the residence of Inspector General of Police (IG) Mayank Jain in Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday and unearthed bank documents and other disproportionate assets. The raid was conducted following a complaint filed against Jain for amassing illegal property and documents. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, anti-corruption team (Lokayukta), S. S. Udawat, said investigations are taking place. Officials also said that no jewellery was found during the raid. The anti-corruption officials, in the last few months, have carried out raids at the residence of various officials, who have been accused of amassing illegal wealth. May 15, 2014

BJP parliamentary board to meet in Delhi on May 17

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): BJP’s parliamentary board will meet in Delhi on 17 May, a day after Lok Sabha poll results are declared. BJP President Rajnath Singh said that he has told Narendra Modi to come to Delhi on 17 and that he would convene the Parliamentary Board meeting on that date to decide the earliest date to hold BJP parliamentary party meet to formally elect Modi as their leader. Singh also added that they would welcome support from any other political party. Senior BJP leaders have been holding a series of meetings in New Delhi and discussions are said to have focused on the possibility of the party forming the next government at the Centre and changes in the organization ahead of counting of votes on May 16.
