Bhopal runs for nation's economy before polls

Bhopal, April 06 (ANI): Students and professionals in large numbers participated in marathon race, 'Run for the Indian economy' in Bhopal on Sunday for a resurgent India and to show concern for country's economy. The event was organised by Institute of Professional Education and Research (IPER), Bhopal. One of the organisers of the marathon, Gurleen Singh Khalsa, said this is a gesture to show that people are aware and concerned and will not rest till economy gets its due. AAP conducts road show in Delhi to garner voters support

New Delhi, April 6 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday (April 06) appealed to the masses to vote for his party while conducting a road show from Shadipur metro station to Chandni Chowk in Delhi. Kejriwal was followed by large numbers of supporters and workers as he moved through the streets of the city. Meanwhile, AAP leader Ashish Khetan who also participated in the road show talked about the issues being faced by the country as well as the party leaders. The AAP plans to contest at least 350 of the 543 seats at stake in the Lok Sabha and has promised to field strong candidates against a string of high-ranking politicians, Kejriwal described as corrupt. 700 riots took place under Sonia Gandhi's watch: Narendra Modi

Aligarh, April 06 (ANI): BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, on Sunday said that 700 communal riots took place under Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's watch. Modi also hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his party's government failure to control communal riots. Asia's biggest Tulip garden throws open for public in Kashmir

Srinagar, April 6 (ANI): The floricultural department of Jammu and Kashmir opened the Asia's biggest tulip garden for visitors following the bitter winter. This tulip garden attracts lakhs of tourists every year especially during the tourist season. Director of Floriculture Department, Sunil Mishri explained how the vast garden is taken care of and the number of tourists that are to be expected. Large number of people thronged the garden which is located at the foot of captivating Zabarwan hills to witness the blooming tulips. Visitors were mesmerized by the beauty of flowers. The garden was opened in 2008 and was the idea of the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad with the aim of boosting tourism and floriculture in the state. Apr 6, 2014

Chennai, April 6 (ANI): Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Sunday attacked the BJP highlighting its various flaws. Chidambaram stated that AIADMK and the BJP have a common understanding and that is why the AIADMK chief never says anything against the BJP. Oil extraction plant in Manipur provides employment to many

Manipur, April 6 (ANI): This is the first compact oil extraction and refinery plant in the northeastern region, set up by the SMART society under the Salai Agro Products Pvt. Ltd at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai in Imphal. The plant operates with international level advanced oil technologies and equipments. It has the capacity to process 5 tonnes of mustard oil per day and it plans to extract other oil seeds in the future. It aims to market its finished product outside the state and export it to other countries as well. At present, the plant is being managed by 4 skilled workers and employs several other workers on a daily wage basis. The SMART society, which was set up on 21st November 2008, is the brainchild of a few educated unemployed youths of the state. With encouragement from the society, farmers are now utilizing barren paddy fields to cultivate mustard and other commercial value oil seeds. Such small initiatives not only provide employment to many people but in the long run will also bring about agricultural and industrial growth in the state. Apr 6, 2014
