RSS won't interfere in NDA govt at centre, no remote control with organization: Ram Madhav

Jaipur, May 18 (ANI): RSS Spokesperson Ram Madhav on Sunday said that the organization has no remote control and that it will not interfere with BJP-led NDA government at the centre. TRS chief stakes claim to form government in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 18 (ANI): Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao, on Sunday staked claim to form his government in Telangana, which would come into existence on June 01, after winning the general election. Present southern state of Andhra Pradesh will be split into Telangana and Seemandhra on June 01, as per the parliament law. Rao met Andhra Pradesh Governor Ekkadu S. L. Narasimhan and formally informed about his election as the legislature party leader and introduced the newly elected legislators in Hyderabad. TRS won 62 seats in 117-member Telangana assembly. Speculations continue over Bihar's next CM's selection

Patna / New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): Nitish Kumar's resignation from the post of Bihar's chief minister has triggered speculation over who among the JD (U) legislators would be the next chief minister of the state. Kumar has not recommended dissolution of the assembly, this leaving a window for formation of a new government, if any other party cobbles up majority in the 243-member house. The JD-U legislators will meet on Sunday evening to elect their new leader. A senior JD-U leader Narendra Singh, who is believed to have been leading a quiet rebellion within the party against Kumar for breaking 17-year old alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), refuted speculation that he could be the new chief minister. MK Stalin withdrew his resignation after DMK convinces him

Chennai, May 18 (ANI): Taking a U-turn, DMK Treasurer and party chief M Karunanidhi's son MK Stalin withdrew his resignation on Sunday, said party leader Durai Murugan. Taking moral responsibility for the party's defeat in the hands of AIADMK in 2014 general elections, Stalin had submitted his resignation to the party. JD (U) supporters stage protest against Sharad Yadav

Patna, May 18 (ANI): Workers and supporters of JD (U) staged protest against party chief Sharad Yadav and urged Nitish Kumar to assume his office. Party workers took to streets on Sunday and demanded that Kumar should take back his decision of resigning as the state chief. Kumar, leader of JD (U), tendered his resignation on Saturday (May 17) to Governor DY Patil after taking moral responsibility of the defeat in general elections.
