New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): Reactions flow in Narendra Modi tweeted refusing inclusion of his biography in the school curriculum. Congress leader Meem Afzal said that life of person who is alive should not be part of educational curriculum and that children will go in wrong thought process if the person commits something wrong. New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): Political reactions flow in a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi told his ministers to set a 100-day agenda that is focused on efficient governance, delivery and time-bound implementation of programmes and schemes. BJP leader Nalin Kohli said that this proves that the new government is focused on developmental works. Meanwhile, Congress leader Meem Afzal said that the agendas to be completed in 100 days constitute nothing on inflation and other such things. New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): After Commerce Ministry cleared the DIPP note to hike FDI in the defence sector to 100 percent from the current 26 percent, Defence Expert Bharat Verma said that it is a remarkable move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that it will meet the country's military requirements, will bring new scientific knowledge and technologies and that there will be spin of civil industries. Fire engulfs slum area in Bhopal

Bhopal, May 30 (ANI): Raging inferno broke out in a slum cluster in Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh on Friday gutting several hutments, police officials said. The blaze was reported at the slum in Bhopal around late night and around 8 fire tenders were pressed into service. The fire has now been brought under control and there are no reports of casualties. Cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, official added. Reportedly, major loss of property is expected due to fire. However, no loss of life has been reported so far. May 30, 2014

PM Narendra Modi refuses to be part of school curriculum

New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday tweeted that he did not wish his biography to be included as part of school curriculum. Modi’s reaction followed reports of Rajasthan government considering incorporating Modi's life story as part of educational curriculum. Modi tweeted, “I firmly believe that the life story of living individuals should not be included as a part of the school curriculum. India has a rich history of several stalwarts who made India what it is today. Young minds should read about these greats & emulate them.” Earlier, Rajasthan Education Minister Kali Charan Saraf had said that he would consider incorporating Modi's biography in school text books, if the latter became the Prime Minister after the general elections. Police bust militant hideout, recover arms & ammunitions in J&K

Doda, May 30 (ANI): Police busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of explosives, arms and ammunition from a forest area in Jammu and Kashmir, said a senior officer. Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Sharif Chouhan, said it was one of the biggest recoveries in the recent past in Doda district of the state. Acting on a tip-off, police launched combing in the forest area and busted the militant hideout in a natural cave. Kolkata sweet shop display FIFA World Cup trophy replica made of sweets

Kolkata, May 30 (ANI): A sweets shop in Kolkata city of West Bengal made a replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy from sweets as soccer lovers await the start of mega event. While the original World Cup trophy is made of gold and two rings of malachite stones, the trophy in Kolkata meanwhile, is made from traditional sweet called kheer (rice pudding). The owner of the sweet shop, Sudip Mallick, said Kolkata is football crazy city and this replica was made for the people to enjoy the sport, which is scheduled to start from June 12. The customers seemed really pleased with Mallick’s replica of the World Cup. Blast in Imphal claims two lives

Imphal, May 30 (ANI): At least two persons were killed and six others injured when a bomb exploded in Manipur. The explosion took place at Singjamei Chinga Makhong in capital Imphal. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Clay Khongsai, said it was Improvised explosive device (IED) blast. After visiting the injured persons in the hospital, Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh suspected that bomb was denoted to target migrant workers in the town.
