Politicos react on RSS members named in Vyapam Scam

New Delhi/ Kanpur/ Bhopal, June 28 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday reacted on RSS members named behind the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh in which many government employees are under scanner for getting selected through unfair means. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the incident is unfortunate and strict investigation should take place. Congress leader Sri Prakash Jaiswal also stated that the state should take responsibility of the scam and accept its involvement. Congress leader Satyadev Katare stated that the Chief Minister should resign on moral grounds until the investigations are over. Modi to BJP MPs: Follow parliamentary ethics, spend time in constituencies

DU Academic Council passes resolution to implement three-year undergraduate programme

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): The Delhi University Academic Council on Saturday held a meeting to discuss the further course of action, a day after the DU VC announced scrapping of the controversial FYUP programme. The Academic Council of the varsity today passed a resolution to implement the three-year undergraduate programme. Eight of the 90 members opposed the resolution tabled by the Council, saying the Delhi University 'didn't hold discussions'. The resolution will now be tabled in the meeting of the Executive Council. Delhi University yesterday decided to scrap the four-year under graduate programme (FYUP) after UGC mounted pressure to roll it back. Residents in Assam deal with flood aftermath

Guwahati, June 28 (ANI): Residents in Assam now face an uphill task in overcoming the adversity of floods that submerged residential areas and forced people to take shelter in relief camps set up by the government. The team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has evacuated nearly 10,000 people. Deputy Commandant of NDRF, Manohar Singh, said on Saturday the people in the region should be careful as there are chances of electrical hazards post floods.
