Artist creates sand sculpture in Odisha to honour FIFA World Cup

Puri, July 13 (ANI): As the final of FIFA World Cup 2014 has approached, famed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a representative sand sculpture of the cup at a beach in Puri city of Odisha. Pattnaik created an eight feet high sand sculpture of the World Cup trophy along with the national flags of the two finalists and the faces of two captains, Lionel Messi of Argentina and Philipp Lahm of Germany, with a message "Goal for Gold Cup". More Indian nurses stranded in Iraq arrive home

Kochi, July 13 (ANI): Another batch of 29 Indian nurses, who were caught up fighting in Iraq, arrived home in Kochi city of Kerala and were welcomed by their family members at the airport. The nurses were working in four different hospitals in and around places of Diyala. The nurses had been worried as the hospital authorities were not returning their passports but they got it later after government's intervention. New Delhi, July 13 (ANI): Delhi is sweltering under the longest heat wave on record, triggering widespread breakdowns in the supply of electricity with no scope of monsoon in the days to come. Last rites of senior journalist Jehangir Pocha performed in New Delhi

New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): The last rites of senior journalist and editor-in-chief of News X channel Jehangir Pocha were performed at Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi on Saturday evening. Pocha passed away in Gurgaon on Saturday morning due to cardiac arrest. He was co-founder of IndiMedia Pvt Ltd, which owns the news channel NewsX. Defence and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also present among some eminent leaders at the ceremony.
