He said that BJP is the only party which took up the issue of development for elections and also executed it after coming to power. He also said that security of north-east and especially Assam will not be compromised. Artists from India and Pakistan share stage during music festival to bolster bilateral ties

Amritsar, Nov 30 (ANI): A 41-member delegation of Pakistani artists shared stage with their Indian counterparts during a joint cultural festival 'Saanjh' in Amritsar city. The event is likely to bring the peace building process back on track. With an aim to bolster the bilateral ties and restart the peace building measures, which were derailed by the recent skirmishes along the international border, the event brings together cultural artists of both nuclear-armed neighbours with a positive note. The festival is being organised by centre for preservation and promotion of heritage Punarjyot in collaboration with its Lahore-based counterpart Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop (RPTW). Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil who was present at the festival, said peace will come not with fights but maturity. Kolkata, Nov 30 (ANI): BJP leaders on Sunday said that democracy and justice prevailed as party President Amit Shah is all set to address a rally in Kolkata. The Kolkata high court allowed Shah to hold the rally after the municipal corporation, police and fire department refused permission after inspecting the venue. The court ruled the party could hold its rally and named two special officers to ensure the BJP complies with the rules. Party leaders said that ruling TMC in West Bengal tried in all possible way to stop BJP spread its wings in the state, but could not hold on to it for long.
