Musical music launch of Khoobsurat

Mumbai, September 6 (ANI): Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan hosted a Khoobsurat music launch of their forthcoming movie “Khoobsurat” in Mumbai recently. Keeping in tone with the fun and groovy music of their upcoming film, Sonam and Fawad were seen in a party mood at the music launch. Sonam looked drop dead gorgeous in a black crop top with a floral printed flared skirt and black jacket. Hair braided from one side, black printed heels, and a pink lip completed her look. While Fawad looked as handsome as ever in a grey suit paired perfectly with a black shirt. The event saw rocking live performances by Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan and Sona Mohapatrra. Traditional pookkalam adds colourful touch to Onam in Kerala

Kochi, Sep 06 (ANI): People in Kerala ushered in festive spirit of harvest festival of Onam with the making of colourful traditional patterns from flowers. Residents from different parts of Kochi city participated in a contest organised at a mall where they created ‘pookkalam’ - traditional designs and patterns made on floor by arranging flowers of different varieties and colours - which is followed as a ritual in almost every household of Kerala as part of celebration during the ten-day Onam festival. Flood water enters homes and buildings in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 06 (ANI): Incessant rain disrupted the life of the common man as flood water entered homes and buildings in Kashmir. Authorities declared a disaster alert in the northern region after two days of heavy rain hit villages across the Kashmir valley, causing the worst flooding in two decades. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said that the floods have so far claimed nearly 100 people, as rivers in the region flow above danger mark due to incessant rains. During a rescue operation, rescuers recovered the bodies of at least 50 members of a wedding party aboard an ill fated bus that was washed away by flash floods. A local, Farooq Ahmad, told that the administration has not taken concrete steps to drain the flood water out of residential areas. Assam: Two school girls found hanging from a tree in Karimganj

Karimganj, Sep 06 (ANI): In another shameful crime against women, two school girls were found dead in Karimganj district in Assam. Two Assam school girls, who had been missing from their homes since Wednesday, were found hanging from a tree on Thursday in the state's Karimganj district, close to the Bangladesh border. The police suspect that the girls were raped and then murdered. According to the police, the bodies have been recovered and sent for a post-mortem. Only after the post-mortem and forensic reports, will the police be able determine the cause of death and if the girls had been molested. The girls were studying in class eighth and ninth and had gone missing from their schools since Wednesday. Sep 6, 2014

New Delhi, Sept 06 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday reacted over, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's letter to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah seeking land for Kashmiri Pandits. Rajnath, in his letter to Omar suggested that the land may be identified near the respective native places the Kashmiri pandits migranted from. Rajnath Singh had also advised that such areas must be selected taking into consideration, the availability of adequate security in close proximity of the place. At present there are about 62,000 registered Kashmiri Pandit families in the country who migrated from the Kashmir Valley to either Jammu, Delhi or to other parts of the country due to militancy in the state in early 1990s.
