Delhi High Court continues ban on e-rickshaw

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Tuesday continued ban on e-rickshaw dismissing the interim plea by e-rickshaw union. The lawyer said that Court has given its final orders before government forms a law for e-rickshaws with proper driving licenses and registration certificates to be plied on roads in Delhi. Meanwhile, President of E-Rickshaw Union, Anuj Sharma said that they will challenge the High Court’s decision in Supreme Court as it is a question of survival means of many poor people. Sep 9, 2014

New Delhi, September 09 (ANI): Neil Patrick Harris has finally married his partner of 10 years, David Burtka, in a private ceremony in Italy over the weekend. The pair confirmed the wedding had taken by place via social media, as the 41-year-old actor took to Twitter saying that they "put the 'n' and 'd' in husband", the Sydney Morning Herald reported. According to reports the ceremony, which was officiated by the pair's friend, Pam Fryman, a producer/director on How I Met Your Mother, was small and was attended only by family and close friends. Panthers party seeks deferment of Kashmir polls, Politicos say EC will take decision

New Delhi/Poonch, Sep 09 (ANI): Panthers Party in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, sought deferment of upcoming state polls due to massive floods. Chief of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Bhim Singh, said he would plead the Supreme Court to set up an information centre for trapped people and ruled out and possibility of state polls. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Congress leader Manish Tewari left the decision to the Election Commission. NCP leader Majid Memon also ruled out the possibility of polls in Kashmir. The Kashmir polls are due in October-November and the Election Commission is likely to announce dates within a couple of days. India-administered Kashmir is experiencing worst flooding in 60 years, killing at least 175 and inundating homes, military bases and hospitals in region's main city Srinagar as the Jhelum River overflowed its banks. He slammed Lt Governor Najeeb Jung of favouring BJP. Kejriwal said that AAP will send a copy of the sting CD to President Pranab Mukherjee and appeal to him not to heed to Jung's advice. AAP chief threatened to take to the streets to prevent the BJP from forming a government in Delhi. SC extends hearing on Delhi govt formation till Oct 10, Politicos react

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday react as Supreme Court extended hearing on Delhi government formation to October 10. AAP's former leader Shazia Ilmi said that it is right that single largest party can be called but questioned on the availability of numbers. Congress leader Mukesh Sharma said that though SC has extended the dates, but there should be fresh elections and that Delhi assembly should be dissolved with immediate effect. NCP leader Tariq Anwar rather chose to wait on right decision by the Supreme Court over the issue.
