Hospital authorities remain apathetic to stampede victims in Patna

Patna, Oct 04 (ANI): Hospital authorities on Saturday were apathetic to the people who are looking for their family members in wake of a stampede that claimed more than 30 lives in Patna. At least 33 people were killed and over 100 injured in a stampede during Dussehra festival celebrations in Patna on Friday, most of them women and a few children. A huge crowd had gathered at an outdoor venue for the burning of effigies of demon king Ravana and his brothers as a part of the Dussehra festival. The stampede happened as people were leaving at the end of the event. On Saturday, the distraught victims could not enter the hospital mortuary to recognize the dead bodies of their family members as gate remained closed due to absence of the concerned person. Talks with India's Modi fruitful, says Bangladesh PM

Reactions flow in after suspected object found in PM Modi's stand by plane

New Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida, Oct 4 (ANI): Reactions flowed in on Saturday after a defused bomb was found inside an Air India aircraft that was put on standby for Modi's US trip. Indian Airlines Flight Safety Former Director Captain SS Panesar said that the issue is very serious and a high level inquiry should take place. JKNPP protest as food grains meant for J and K flood victims rot

Jammu/Srinagar, Oct 4 (ANI): Members of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party staged a hunger strike in Jammu city, demanding stringent action against officials responsible for the rotting of food grains meant for flood victims. District administration of Udhampur dumped the soiled relief material in a community hall, which has been rotting on a railway station. JKNPP MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia demanded probe into the incident. The government of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to provide free ration -50 kilogram each -to the flood affected families for six months. Addressing a rally in Haryana's Karnal district Modi said that to ensure development of the state, people need to vote for a Congress-free government. Modi said that the Haryana government is spreading lies and saying that the central government has stopped exporting Basmati rice. However, in reality, Congress in Haryana has imposed 4 per cent tax. The PM further said that Congress government did not do anything for pilgrims travelling to Kailash Mansarovar yatra whereas Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) opened a new road to facilitate their travel. Modi said that to determine a better future for the state, people have to vote for Congress-free Haryana. He added that people need to elect a stable government in Haryana with majority which will allow him to do work in the state.
