Congress leader Manish Tewari said that if a union minister makes such allegation, he/she must substantiate with evidence. Sandeep Dikshit taking a dig at Gandhi said she must have thought that the PM is himself communal, so he would like her making such provocative statements. Hungry flood victims look forward to food supply with repaired roads in Kashmir

Rajouri, Sep 15 (ANI): Road repair in Kashmir made rapid progress as people stranded in the flood waters in Rajouri district awaited desperately for access to food and medicine. Authorities of Border Road Organisation (BRO) worked on a war footing to revive the roads damaged by landslide and facilitate communication with the rest of the state. Flood alert issued in four districts of Bihar and Jharkhand

Bihar, Sep 15 (ANI): The Governments of Bihar and Jharkhand have sounded a flood alert in the four districts of Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal and Bhojpur following the release of three lakh cusecs of water from the Rihand Barrage after heavy rainfall. According to reports, both governments are keeping a close watch on the evolving situation. The water level in the Sone River is yet to rise to the danger mark. Swedish PM Fredrik Reinfeldt to resign after losing to Left opposition

Sweden, Sep 15 (ANI): Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt concedes his defeat after opposition center-left alliance, led by the Social Democratic Party, beat the incumbent center-right government in the 2014 parliamentary election. Reinfeldt is to resign on Monday after the defeat. He also told supporters in Stockholm late yesterday that he will also step down as leader of the conservative Moderate Party next year. President receives warm welcome on arrival in Vietnam

Vietnam, Sep 15 (ANI): President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, received a warm welcome on arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, on a four-day visit to strengthen bilateral ties. The visit will mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Mukherjee was also given the ceremonial guard of honour. He is scheduled to hold talks with the Vietnam Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung and his counterpart, Truong Tan Sang, on issues of international, regional and bilateral importance. Harsh Vardhan visits flood-hit Kashmir, Omar Abdullah assures relief to people

Srinagar, Sep 15 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan visited a relief camp and a hospital to meet flood victims and take stock of the situation in Srinagar. Vardhan said the government has taken a number of steps to prevent water-borne diseases as water recedes from the residential areas. Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, assured to provide relief and to rescue people stranded in the floods in the valley. Abdullah said paramilitary and defence forces are pressed into service to rescue people stranded on rooftops and to reach them with relief materials including food packets. Meanwhile, Director General (DG) of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), OP Singh, said 23 teams of NDRF have been deployed with boats to carry out rescue operations in flood-hit areas.
