Politicos react after economists urge PM Modi not to dilute MGNREGA

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Politicos on Wednesday reacted after several leading economists urged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not dilute MGNREGA which has provided economic security to millions of poor. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that if the government is concerned about the welfare of poor then it will not dilute MGNREGA. Congress leader Shobha Oza slamming the government said that the government is trying to break the beneficial schemes of UPA government. Indian army recovers Pakistan made landmine in Kashmir

Rajouri, Oct 15 (ANI): The Indian army on Wednesday recovered a Pakistan made landmine along the de-facto Line of Control (LoC) border in Rajouri district of Kashmir. Indian Army Official, Colonel Harpreet Singh, said that their surveillance team detected a suspected woman near the line of control (LoC) and when she was challenged, she left behind a bag in which the explosives were recovered. Residents of Islamabad vow to carry forward Malala's mission

Islamabad, Oct 15 (ANI): Dozens of rights activists and residents of Pakistani capital took to the streets of Islamabad recently with lighted torches and candles to pay tributes to their young Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai. Malala, the Pakistani teenager, who was shot in the head by the Taliban in 2012 for advocating girls' right to education won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize on October 10, along with Indian campaigner against child trafficking and labour Kailash Satyarthi. Yousafzai, aged 17, becomes the youngest Nobel Prize winner and 60-year-old Satyarthi the first Indian-born winner of the accolade. Chanting "Provide education for children, or leave your chairs", the crowd demanded that the government takes on girls' education on a war footing. Yousafzai was attacked in 2012 in a school bus in the Swat Valley of northwest Pakistan by masked gunmen as a punishment for a blog that she wrote for the BBC's Urdu service as an 11-year-old to campaign against the Taliban's efforts to deny women education. BJP says Pakistan violating ceasefire out of frustration

New Delhi/Akhnoor, Oct 15 (ANI): Pakistan is still continuing to violate the ceasefire even after being severely warned by the Indian government. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said on Wednesday that Pakistan is violating ceasefire out of frustration since it has been cornered internationally. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the government should take strict measures against the continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Nine Pakistani and eight Indian civilians have been killed since security forces from both sides started heavy shelling more than a week ago along the international border in Kashmir.
