Politicos react on PM Modi's Australia visit

New Delhi/Ranchi, Nov 18 (ANI): Politicos on Tuesday reacted over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ongoing Australia visit. BJP leader GVL Narsimha Rao praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he has communicated well with the people in Australia. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that his visit in Australia was successful and he raised the issue of black money very well. However, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav slamming Modi said that he is no more the Prime Minister of the country; he has rather become an NRI. Nov 18, 2014

Militants kill two persons, including a border guard, in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 18 (ANI): Militants killed two persons, including a border guard, in Tripura. The incident took place when Border Security Force (BSF) personnel went to fetch water in a civilian water tanker of the Coastal Construction Company to a nearby area. The BSF soldier was accompanied by two other civilians, including the driver of the water tanker. A group of militants ambushed the vehicle. The injured were airlifted to a hospital in Agartala, where the BSF soldier and one civilian were declared brought dead while the condition of another civilian is stated to be serious. Nov 18, 2014

Black money has pernicious impact on Indian economy: President

New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee, said that unaccounted money on which tax is not paid has a pernicious impact on economy. Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi had promised his government would change laws or enact new measures to bring back such funds. On taking office, he appointed a panel to investigate the matter. Gujarat to tap changing economic scenario with new industrial policies, says Anandiben Patel

Mumbai, Nov 18 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel while addressing a press conference said the state was geared to tap the changing economic scenario with new industrial policies that would put the nation at the global forefront. Patel was speaking at a curtain raiser of the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit (VGGIS) to be held in January 2015, in New Delhi. Patel further said the summit will lay emphasis on social sectors and specialised areas like climate change. The curtain raiser is to encourage investors from other states to set up business in Gujarat. India and China begin joint military training exercise in Pune

Pune, Nov 18 (ANI): India and China began their 'Joint Training Exercise Hand – in – Hand 2014" in Pune. The exercise that aims at focusing on counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism tactics comes weeks after a stand-off between their troops along the border in Ladakh region. Lt General Bobby Mathews of Indian Army and Lt general Shi Xiangyuan of the Chinese Army inspected the guard of honour during the exercise. Lt General Bobby Mathews said that both the countries will be greatly benefited from each other. The schedule for 12 days will focus on training on crossing of obstacles, firing of various weapons, handling and neutralisation of improvised explosive devices and conduct of cordon and search operations in insurgent areas.
