Thousands evacuated after British Columbia wildfires spread

Wildfires in Canada forced thousands of people to be evacuated. More than 180 of the fires were burning across British Columbia on July 8. They are extending hundreds of miles through the interior of the province. Some evacuees took shelter at emergency facilities. No deaths or injuries were reported but many buildings were destroyed.
