Mudgal report clears Srinivasan of match-fixing, politicos react

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): The Justice Mukul Mudgal panel, appointed by the Supreme Court to investigate the IPL fixing scandal, has cleared BCCI president-in-exile N Srinivasan on charges of match fixing. Earlier this year, India_s top court temporarily relieved N. Srinivasan of his duties as the country_s cricket board president in the wake of his son-in-law, Gurunath Meiyappan, being indicted for illegal betting on the 2013 IPL tournament. Srinivasan stood down in June. Justice Mudgal, who probed fixing allegations in the IPL 2013, also states that the former BCCI boss was not involved in scuttling the probe, as it has been alleged in some sectors. Fresh NB warrant against Rampal to be executed by Nov 21

Chandigarh, Nov 17 (ANI): Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday issued a fresh non-bailable warrant against self-styled Rampal in contempt case. Lawyer Anupam Gupta said that the court has directed that the warrant has to be executed by this Friday i.e. November 21. According to the reports, Rampal has been facing charges of murder, inciting mobs and contempt of court for interfering with the court proceedings. Nov 17, 2014

DDA postpones housing scheme draw till indefinite period

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has indefinitely postponed the date for a lucky draw of its much-sought-after housing scheme once again. It is learnt that the DDA was unable to wrap up the process in less than six hours during mock draws and hence postponed the actual draw. Forms for more than 25,000 houses were available till October 09, starting from September 01.
