Doda, Nov 29 (ANI): Security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (November 29). The security forces busted a militant hideout from where an AK-47 rifle, 12 bore guns, grenades and ammunitions were recovered. Last week also Indian army had recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of the state before the assembly elections began. Stray incidents of violence have been seen in the valley in the wake of assembly elections. The five-phased assembly polls began on November 25. The results are due on December 23. Nov 29, 2014

Defence experts say govt should deal carefully with arrested ISIS suspect

Chandigarh/ Bhopal, Nov 29 (ANI): Arif Majeed, who was detained by National Investigation Agency (NIA) at Mumbai airport on suspicion of being an Islamic State (IS) militant, was produced in court on Saturday (November 29). Majeed, who belongs to Maharashtra and was one of the four youths who went to Iraq, was detained on Friday (November 28). Reacting to his arrest, Lieutenant General (retired) Srinivas Kumar Sinha said there is a need on the part of intelligence agencies to be more careful. Blast in Manipur kills one

Manipur, Nov 29 (ANI): One person was killed in an explosion in Manipur on Saturday (November 29). The blast came a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state. The victim, an 11-year-old boy, was playing in a farm land when the explosion took place. The bomb is reportedly said to be planted by militants, though no militant group has claimed responsibility so far. Security officials are investigating the matter. Pakistan's Wheelchair Cricket team eyes international exposure

Karachi, Nov 29 (ANI): A spirited bunch of physically challenged cricketers arrived in Karachi from all over the Pakistan to participate in a Wheelchair Cricket training camp and to be selected as a squad to represent the country abroad. Their first tour will take place in late December, when the team heads to Bangladesh. The training camp was hosted by the International Wheelchair Cricket Association (IWCA) at Karachi Gymkhana. IWCA founder president Zeeshan Taqi said that the mission is to ensure the wheelchair confined PWDs are facilitated with maximum opportunities to participate in sporting and recreational involvement. Around 100 affected in Maharashtra after inhaling toxic gas

Ulhasnagar, Nov 29 (ANI): Around 100 people were affected in Ulhasnagar on Saturday after inhaling toxic gas formed due to the release of a chemical component in a nearby river. The people living in areas near the river complained of uneasiness and breathing problems and were rushed to different hospitals. Central Hospital Dean Dr Ashok Nadpurkar said that more than 80 people have come for treatment so far but only nine have been admitted. The incident occurred after a tanker carrying waste chemical components dumped its contents in the Ulhas River. Police are investigating the case as to whose carelessness led to the incident.
