Venezuelan President Maduro creates popular assembly for constitution rewrite amid more anti-government protests

Venezuelas socialist President Nicolas Maduro has called for a rewriting of the countrys constitution in a bid to quell the ongoing protests against his government. Anti-government protests continued for a second month on May Day, as the opposition want a general election to try to end 18 years of socialist rule. Felix, the office cat of Londons Royal Docks Management Authority, had a lucky escape when she fell into the Thames on 30 April. In a video shared to the Royal Docks Facebook page, a man named as Scott, an engineering and operations manager, is seen rushing to the cats rescue, and pulling it out of the water.
