He said that the party sends just notices on every issue and that AAP will definitely respond to the same. BJP files complaint with EC against use of Kiran Bedis pictures in AAP posters, demands stern actio

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): The BJP's CM candidate in Delhi, Kiran Bedi on Tuesday moved the Election Commission against Arvind Kejriwal for using her photograph in the party's poster campaign without her permission. The party has recently put up posters on numerous auto-rickshaws plying in the national capital, asking the people of Delhi to choose between Kejriwal and Bedi for the post of chief minister. The posters features the picture of Kejriwal with the word "imandar" (honest) printed below it while Bedi’s picture says "avsarvadi" (opportunist). Reacting on the same, Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay demanded stern action against Kejriwal and said that the poll panel should reject his candidature. Jan 27, 2015

Obama's India visit ends, leaves for Saudi Arabia

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): US President Barack Obama on Tuesday departed from Palam airport in New Delhi concluding his three day India visit. Obama will now be going to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, to pay respects to the late King Abdullah before returning to Washington. He took to twitter to express his feelings about the visit- "Thank you Narendra Modi for a memorable visit, and to the Indian people for their warm welcome", he tweeted. Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama joined hands in 'namaste' to the people of India before getting in the Air Force One aircraft of the United States. Maharashtra govt to accord state funeral to RK Laxman, will build a memorial too

Mumbai/ Pune, Jan 27 (ANI): In a rare honour, Maharashtra government has decided to accord a state funeral to legendary cartoonist RK Laxman, creator of the iconic :The Common Man". Laxman died at the age of 94 after suffering multi-organ failure. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who will attend the last rites of Laxman said that the state government will build a memorial for the late cartoonist. Meanwhile, Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said that the nation has lost the voice os common man with RK Laxman. The legendary cartoonist, who immortalized the hapless 'Common Man' with his devastating swipes at politicians, passed away on Monday at a city hospital after suffering multi-organ failure.
