Petroleum ministry document leak: Dharmendra Pradhan says everything would be clear once independent

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): A day after five people, two of them officials of the Petroleum Ministry, were arrested for allegedly leaking confidential government documents to energy consultants and corporates, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that independent enquiry is going on and things would become clear once it ends. At least 25 people have been detained for questioning, the Delhi police said. New Delhi/ Patna, Feb 20 (ANI): Political leaders on Friday react as Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi is to face floor test in Bihar Assembly against JD (U) senior leader Nitish Kumar. Government says no need to panic even as swine flu toll hits 700 mark

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Even as India witnessed a steep rise in the number of swine flu cases in recent days, Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth said that there was no need to panic, adding that the government was taking measures to ensure proper treatment to patients. The H1N1 virus has claimed nearly 700 lives in the country and the number of people affected by it has crossed 10,000 mark, say reports. Seth said that delay in treatment was amounting to rising casualties. Seth said that he was in touch with officials to ensure consistent supply of medicines and other medical equipments to government hospitals. He has also directed drug controllers of various states to ensure availability of necessary vaccines, along with guidelines for usage and treatment protocol.
