The Halloween special episode of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 will introduce "Bones" characters, Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), to the supernatural world. The episode is titled "Dead Men Tell No Tales" and it will be aired at 9pm on Thursday, 29 October.

While revolving around the investigation of a mysterious death that plagues the FBI, the sequel will also focus on the romantic life of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), teased executive producer Clifton Campbell.

"The partnerships between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Abbie and Crane are very similar, and if we want to, we can look downrange at the banter that Booth and Brennan had and say well, we are having versions of what those two had early on in their relationship, and how much fun would it be to look at each other and wonder where our relationship is going based on where their relationship has gone?" Variety quoted him as saying.

The executive producer even teased that it will be interesting to watch the lead characters of both the shows interact with each other as they are like the two sides of the same coin. According to him, the episode landed at a perfect time as it is the Halloween special crossover.

"It made a whole lot more sense once we started thinking about "how interesting would it be if we found a case that started in the 'Bones' hour that also had deeper and more personal emotional implications to our guys once the supernatural kicked in at the halfway point, which would be where our episode began," Campbell said.

The official synopsis of the fifth episode read as below:

With Brennan and Booth in tow, Abbie and Crane set out to prove that supernatural forces are at play when a mysterious death plagues the FBI. As Pandora unleashes a force to awaken the dangerous Red Coat General Howe, both teams must find a way to save the town from the British Army of the Undead. Can the power of Booth and Brennan combined with Abbie and Crane be enough to stop Pandora's evil forces? Find out in the special.
