Silambarasan aka Simbu's much-awaited "Idhu Namma Aalu" seems to have been postponed again. The Tamil movie, which was supposed to hit screens on May 20, has reportedly been delayed by a week.

"@iam_str fans have to wait for 7 more days.. May 27th release.. #INA," celebrity PR Ramesh revealed on his Twitter account. However, the makers are yet to formally confirm the news and the reason behind the delay is not known yet.

"Idhu Namma Aalu" was initially supposed to release in March. But the makers delayed the release then for reasons best known to them. The industry now expects the Tamil flick to release big and clash with Vishal Krishna's "Marudhu," which hits screens this Friday, May 20.

The decision to delay the release of "Idhu Naama Aalu" is seen as an attempt to avoid clash with "Marudhu," which carried good pre-release buzz.

Nayanthara, ex-girlfriend of Simbu, has paired up with him after a gap of 10 years. The upcoming film is a romantic-comedy entertainer, which is written and directed by Pandiraj.

Simbu's younger brother Kuralarasan is making his debut as a music director in "Idhu Namma Aalu." The Tamil flick has Balasubramaniam's cinematography and Praveen KL's editing, respectively.

The upcoming Tamil movie is produced by Simbu's father, T Rajender. Andhrea Jeremiah plays the second female lead in "Idhu Namma Aalu," which also stars Soori, Arjunan, Jayaprakash, Uday Mahesh and Madhusudhan Rao. Adah Sharma has done an item number in the flick.
